This weekend, taught by Alyssa Snow, can be used for continuing education; it is worth 14 YACED credits.
The heart of this yoga practice that makes you feel so vibrant and healthy was recorded in the words of sages in ancient texts such as the Sutras of Pantanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads many thousands of years ago.
This weekend we will study these texts through the lens of our modern lives and our modern yoga practices. We are no longer monks living in monasteries. We are peeling back the layers of our conditioning every day (even as new layers try to get formed!), and using the tools of yoga: how do we cultivate bhakti yoga (the yoga of devotion), Karma Yoga (the yoga of service), and Raja Yoga (the eight limbs of yoga) in this global, multimedia world?
This weekend will include lecture, discussion, and three hours of asana and meditation practice.
