Subtle touch Therapy

craniosacral therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) works with the delicate membranes, fluids, and bones that support the brain and spinal cord.  Using the gentlest application of pressure, CST helps your soft tissues release and resets the cranial bones into a more beneficial and spacious arrangement.

CST boosts your body’s natural ability to heal itself, and can help alleviate many common conditions, including:

  • Headaches

  • Migraines

  • Sinus pressure

  • Ear canal and balance issues

  • Eye strain

  • Jaw pain and discomfort from dental work

  • Neck and shoulder tension

  • Tailbone injuries

  • Nervous tension

  • Chronic Fatigue

  • Trouble sleeping… and much more!

In your first 90-minute session, you will receive:
- A thorough intake to make sure your practitioner understands where you feel pain or discomfort in your body
- 70 minutes of CST, releasing the head, neck, jaw, mouth, tailbone and spine
- 10 minutes of full-body vibration with the Body BUFF tool to encourage lymphatic flow and relaxation

In your follow up 75-minute sessions, you will receive:
- 65 minutes of targeted work to address your specific needs
- 10 minutes of full-body vibration with the Body BUFF tool to encourage lymphatic flow and relaxation

75 minutes - $120

craniosacral case studies

In the fall of 2018, Edya Kalev and MindBodySoul partnered to create a Craniosacral Therapy scholarship program for our community. After reviewing several heartfelt applications, Edya was able to share eight sessions of CST with three lucky people. Case studies from this scholarship program can be read here: The Craniosacral Corner.

feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method® uses a combination of movement, directed attention and guided exploration that engages the ability of our brain to change (neuroplasticity), and allows us to alter patterns that limit our potential. It teaches us how to learn new ways of sensing that "rewire" our nervous system in more efficient way.  Functional Integration lessons are hands-on private sessions. During these one-hour sessions, we discover how you organize your body to function, and through gentle touch, movement and focused attention, learn how to develop more efficient functional patterns in your nervous system.

My personal experience of chronic pain in my lower back brought me to the Feldenkrais Method. After trying numerous other treatment options, I discovered the Feldenkrais Method and regular practice of yoga at MBSY healing benefits for me. Not only did it relieve my back pain, but the heightened awareness of how my body moves through its environment and improved my life on many levels. So much so that I wanted to share that gift with others and become a certified practitioner. Your healing philosophy: Introduce one’s body and mind to more improved ways of functioning.
