Melissa Vivino, PhD
Melissa Vivino has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in School Psychology and a Master’s in Applied Psychology. As licensed therapist in New York State, Melissa has been practicing for more than 15 years. She is a deeply grounded and compassionate healer.
Her work involves ways to promote a better connection between our actions and our intentions because they are often not the same. Melissa believes that therapy is a journey to discover and to build a strong sense of self while negotiating relationships, career expectations, and the demands on us from our culture. Melissa believes it is essential to consider all aspects of a person’s life (body and mind and soul) while working to resolve emotional health issues. Without consideration of symptoms that are displayed in both soma and psyche, the opportunity is missed to help a person make a permanent pattern change or shift in his or her life.
