POSTURE AND MUSCLE IMBALANCES: PERSONALIZING YOUR ASANA PRACTICE FOR INJURY PREVENTION with Sneha Radhakrishnan

The workshop introduces the underlying musculoskeletal imbalances that are correlated with common injuries. Asanas, stretches, and other form of exercises can be used to lengthen tight soft tissue and strengthen weak muscles in order to slow degenerative changes on joints. Attendees will form groups and examine each other’s posture and describe what they see. Attendees will problem solve through potential causes of any deviations. Attendees will discuss and share individualized asana selections, stretches, or exercises they would choose to help regain alignment based on their group’s presentation.
