Mondays 4:30-5:30pm – Tween Yoga (8-11 years)
Teacher: Melissa Rios

Yoga for tweens is a class specifically designed for kids who are in transition – physically, emotionally, and socially. Kids will play yoga games, but they will also start to become familiar with the physical postures, breath work, and meditation practices that define yoga.


Tuesdays 4:00-5:00pm – Dance (3-5 years)
Teacher:  Dance Project of Washington Heights

This class will incorporate lots of imagery, creative movement, and props, while starting to incorporate more of a traditional class structure. We begin to focus more on class etiquette, technical movements and positions, as well as simple traveling steps and patterns.


Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm – Theater (5-12 years)
Teacher:  Liz Livingston

Children will play theater games, explore creative movement, and engage in scene work in order to foster an appreciation for theater.  We will focus on creative play, giving each child the chance to become confident in embodying their imagination, while respecting the teamwork it takes to make theater magic happen!  Classes may include short showcases at the end of the hour, but parents are asked to wait outside the classroom otherwise. 


Thursdays 4:00-5:00pm – Kids Yoga (4-7 years)
Teacher:  Melissa Rios

This class allows kids to begin a yoga practice in a fun and supportive environment. Games, stories, and songs are all important aspects of the introduction into yoga. Kids will also have the experience of working together as part of a community, learning compassion for themselves and others.

Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm – Teen Yoga (12-16 years)
Teacher:  Melissa Rios

This class is for kids in their teens.  This class will teach teens how yoga can be used to bring balance to the mind, body, and heart.  Basic postures will be taught,as well as moving from posture to posture on the breath.  Stress-relieving techniques will be taught, as well as deep relaxation.
